Development Engineer, Stockholm, Sweden

 

DUTIES FOR FUNCTION
The purpose with the Development Engineer role is to secure the overall development for Human Care’s products.  The Development Engineer is responsible of in-house development, design and engineering, covering all Human Care products globally.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible of Human Care in-house development, design and engineering.
  • Covering all Human Care products, globally.
  • Covering both development of new products, features, as well as changes to existing products, making requested changes and corrections throughout the life of the products.
  • Including mechanical, electrical, and IT development of Human Care products, as well as industrial design.
  • Responsible for prototyping and testing.
  • Responsible for preparing the new product/feature/change for production.
  • Responsible for creating/updating/maintaining technical documentation and drawings necessary for prototyping and production, and securing that all documents are easy to use and containing sufficient information to file server and PDM system (SolidWorks).
  • Responsible for following and improving the company’s process and routines in his/her area.
  • Responsible for assuring that components used in the products is sufficient for the purpose.
  • Responsible for securing that sufficient documentation is available for other users in the company e.g. drawings (CAD SolidWorks), certificates, material specifications.
  • Responsible for considering environmental aspects when selection new material and parts in development projects.
  • Responsible for actively participating in driving the projects to goal according to the plan/specification.
  • Responsible for developing the work methods used in the company in respective area.
  • Responsible for handling internal and external tests, validation and verification on our products.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

  • BSc/MSc in Mechanical/electrical Engineering/Industrial design
  • 2 or more years of experience working with mechanical production
  • 2 or more years of experience working with product development and design
  • Preferable experience from medtech industry, ISO13485 and MDR regulation
  • Excellent mechanical/electrical engineering skills
  • Excellent industrial design skills
  • Excellent SolidWorks skills
  • Good ppt/word/excel/outlook knowledge
  • Shall talk/write Swedish/English fluently
